  • Nurture the soil with microorganisms (EM or MM).
  • Incorporate trees on your farm.
  • Reuse water for irrigation.
  • Restore the carbon content of the soil by applying compost or by not removing organic matter.

  • Replace feed concentrate with highly nutritious and digestible forage.
  • Manage manure well, not allowing it to pollute water systems.

  • Do not let livestock enter forest so that they do not damage the understory.

El Fondo Nacional de Financiamiento Forestal (FONAFIFO) offers environmental services payments to small and medium farmers.
